Pure Facial Plastic Surgery - Dr. Briggs Cook - Huntersville, NC

Recommended Posts

In regards to the pre operation procedures, I feel that this place is extremely unprofessional. I had ARTAS hair transplant and they're not thorough about any of the services that will be provided. Everything is done through text and verbally with no visual of what the procedure will be covering or what areas are going to be addressed. I told them what my areas of concern were before they put me to sleep and woke up to something completely different. The surgeon also never mapped out the area before my procedure on paper, or on my head. I never even had the chance to talk to the doctor before I signed the consent form. I met Dr. Cook briefly before I was put to sleep and only said hello, nothing more.

In regards to the areas they arbitrarily covered, I had 1,200 grafts done, and from the looks of it they covered quite a bit of space, or so I thought until I had my second hair transplant with Dr. Vories.

The recovery was very quick, 6 days post op, the wounds healed very fast, scabbing shed away easily and there was nearly no pain at all; in a couple of weeks I was at 100% recovery.

I expressed my discontent with Dr. Cook, he said he would contact me in 8 months or sooner and never did. I started leaving my reviews about the procedure on google, yelp, etc. and now his assistant, Stacey, is threatening to sue me claiming that I am defaming their practice.

It's been almost a year after my hair transplant, the results weren't very great at all...none existent. I've actually since got a another transplant with Dr. Vories and my experience was night and day, much better. I paid less per graft, with a much better surgeon, that actually does the procedure from start to finish himself. He also didn't put me to sleep (he couldn't believe Pure put me out for the procedure actually), and used a much smaller punch, three days post op and you can't even tell that hair was taken from the donor site. I had a chance to see a ton of before and after images, and he actually lets you talk to some of his patients who have had the procedure to make you feel at ease.

I personally cannot recommend this place for a hair transplant. I don't recommend it at all. Save your money and go to another place.

You're doing the right thing by telling people here - but clear photos in the body of the message are the way to go. Good luck mate.

The link is to another thread for a similar experience someone else had. Fortunate for them, they didn’t go through with it.

I will get pics and post soon. I’m two months into my second hair transplant, so once I have results for both I’ll post all the pics.

Sorry to hear about your negative experience with Pure Facial Plastic Surgery and Dr. Briggs Cook

It sounds like there were a number of issues with the pre-operation procedures, and the communication between you and the clinic was not up to par. He must have given the patients a clear understanding of what the procedure will cover and what areas will be addressed, and it's concerning that this did not happen in your case. And it's weird that Dr. Cook's assistant, Stacey, threatened to sue you, claiming that you are defaming their practice. This kind of behavior is not acceptable and it's important to be aware of it.  If you're looking for a plastic surgery procedure, Tummy Tuck plastic surgery Toronto is a great place to start your research. I worked with them personally and I love the results.
