Need your advice !!

Recommended Posts

Hi iam considering hair transplant in Turkey and i need 4000 to 5000 grafts but i am confused and I don’t know how choose the correct doctor.

I contacted many clinic and my short list is :

Dr Resul Yaman 5000 grafts

Dr Arslan Musbeh Hair Medico clinic 4000 grafts

Other doctors !

Some other clinics told me that i will need 2 sessions

For Dr Yaman the advantage that you can find some experiences about him but there is a difference between the photos posted by patient and the ones posted by his team

And he is doing only part of the surgery

For Dr Arslan he was recommended by one of my friends, but I can’t find any posts about him, he is more expensive but he does all the steps by himself, his assistant told me that he is doing surgeries in Belgium and France also !

Your help is appreciated !

For an NW5, 4000 grafts once grown out successfully will more than likely need an additional pass to create a more fuller look.

There is the option of

A. covering the whole area. There is a small possibility that once grown out, if your hair calibre is good this might give you a good aesthetic look creating the illusion of a full set of hair. You may feel content with the result but the option of another surgery to do another implantation pass over the previous area is still there.

B. concentrating on the hairline and the mid-scalp, this should give a fuller look head on and frame your face better with the more strategic use of graft placement. Again, you may be happy with this look and take a hit on the crown. Otherwise again the option for surgery 2 is still there to do another pass over the previously implanted area and address the crown.

Obviously both options are dependent on availability of donor grafts.

That would be your crown area, it has been mentioned in my post.

You should consider Finasteride to help recover this area depending on how far the balding has gone.

Actual pictures of your scalp would be most helpful if you want a more informed response.

Looking at your picture I am quite surprised you was quoted 4000-5000 grafts. I really can't see you getting that many from your donor area without over harvesting which will result in an extremely thin donor area with a strong possibility of scarring.

The only way you can remotely carry something off is to go down the 2 surgery route coupled with SMP to help provide the illusion of density. You will need to utilize body hair. This will be a lengthy and costly process with the risk of still not achieving an end result you are happy with.

You need to consider this before you commit.

Who did you pick in the end?

I am strongly considering Dr Arslan. (Hairmedico)
