Catalyst101
I massaged my hair gently with warm water and baby shampoo on the 15th day and pretty much all scabs came off.

Senior Member hairshopeing Posted January 21, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted January 21, 2017 Yes, after a week the grafts are pretty much secure, they say 10 days to be certain but unless you get bleeding and by that I mean quite heavy and obvious bleeding then you have nothing to worry about! He's absolutely right, it's always nerve-racking to see lost hairs post-op but as stated you are not losing grafts as long as it's 7-10 days post-op and there was no blood etc. The ones you shed early will be the ones coming back early on. Senior Member hsrp10 Posted January 23, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted January 23, 2017 No you're being too gentle, follow your clinic's post-op instructions. Also after the area is wet and moisturized using shampoo in the shower, use gentle circular massaging motion with your finger tips only. This should help to remove them gently. Don't force the scabs off when they're dry though. go dense or go home Unbiased advice and opinions based on 25 plus years of researching and actual experience with hair loss, hair restoration via both FUT & FUE, SMP, scalp issues including scalp eczema & seborrheic dermatitis and many others HSRP10's favorite FUT surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr Hasson, Dr. Rahal HSRP10's favorite FUE surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr. Bisanga, Dr. Erdogan, Dr. Couto (*indicates actual experience with doctor)

Senior Member Dolph1969 Posted January 23, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted January 23, 2017 I would have a warm bath. Soak your head in the water and shampoo the recipient area, leaving it on for a good 10-15 minutes, then gently massage the scabs. They should start coming off. I had all mine off in about 5-6 days.
