A graft with came out with a scab attached at 7 months?

While I don't have any pictures of it as it happened while I was out in public, it pretty much looked like one of these I found on google images.

I can't find any bleeding on my scalp or any area where it may have came from, but after touching my hair there was a scab containing a hair in my hand. The hair was about 4cm long, so it was definitely growing before it came out.

Has this happened to anyone else? Did a graft just like die after growing normally for months already?

@transhair

Yes it can happen,check properly if u don't have any kind of flaky staff on your head.

If it was only one scab of one hair graft u got nothing to panic.

Use a gentle shampoo and give a proper finger wash to your scalp,try to avoid chemicals harsh shampoo.

Good luck!!!

Seriously???

I was sure there was nothing you could do to remove your grafts after 10 days!

I thought it would literally take another surgery to remove them.

It's virtually impossible that you would lose a graft 7 months after a procedure. I'm not sure what it is you saw, but with that much time passing, the graft is definitely secure. If you happen to have a dry, flaky scalp at the moment, it could just be that a hair fell out with something of that nature - but an actual graft? I would say no way. :)

I am a patient advocate for Dr. Parsa Mohebi in Los Angeles, CA. My views/opinions are my own and don't necessarily reflect the opinions of Dr. Mohebi and his staff.
