Senior Member BaldPatient2 Posted July 8, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted July 8, 2016 I had my surgery done 6.5 months ago and I notice an unusual amount of Dandruff only in recipient area, in other areas I don't see any. Is it related to the surgery ?
Senior Member chris39 Posted July 9, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted July 9, 2016 I'm in the same position . Posted a couple of questions here about, it but had no responses . Not suffered from dandruff for years , but then again didn't have hair at the hairline for years either . So yes , it will be related to the HT. Senior Member Mikey1970 Posted July 9, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted July 9, 2016 Perhaps consider trying a tar based shampoo. I use Ionil T shampoo virtually daily & it is great for the scalp & clearing dandruff/sebum. I think its similar to Nizoral which is one of "The Big 3". I do actually use Nizoral , but strangely enough , it seems to dry out my ( still bald ) scalp area that was untouched in my HT surgery.
