Propecia after 1 year

So after taking propecia after a year I've noticed that the drug has started to loose its effect. Hair is shredding back to its initial phase..so what do I do from now? I've been taking 1mg everyday since and now started on 1.5mg. After about 2 weeks it's still shedding as much and I am clueless on what to do now, I am not contemplated on 2mg due to the ''side effects'' that may cause and financially (I live in the UK and the drug is expensive as f).

Advice from personal experiences are much appreciated.

It would be unusual for you to make gains and losee them in 1 year. I could see you making not gains, or losing, but to make gains and lose in one year seems odd. I would continue your current treatment for 1 year and see what happens.

don't think I've had any gains but it sure did halted the shedding for a full year.

sigh....
