How to use it? What is the dosage? Is it FDA approved? Can this be used on transplanted hair? Recommended size of derma roller? Can this damage the hair? How soon can we see results? What results can I see? Is it useful? Benefit of using along Minoxidil or Laser Comb? Do I use it? Have I seen Results? Senior Member Rashid36 Posted April 8, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted April 8, 2016 I just started using a dermaroller needle 0.25mm then i put monoxidil on. I originally got the dermaroller for a scar but stopped using it. I contacted the company who made it and they said i would need a longer needle for what i want to use it for i.e hairloss / regrowth. When i used it i did feel it so i think it would be enough at the moment to start with.

Senior Member Rashid36 Posted April 10, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted April 10, 2016 When i use this derma roller i do feel the needles especially where i have very little hair. I feel it for a couple of days. Maybe it's good to start with? I contacted the company which makes the derma roller and they said The size you have will only allow your product to go into the top layer of the skin. We would not be able to sell you a roller at a longer length as we can only sell them to clinics.

Try to put light pressure. Maybe you're pressing it hard.
Senior Member Rashid36 Posted April 12, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted April 12, 2016 How long you been doing this treatment? I just read you should never put monoxidil on after 1mm needle as it increases chances of side effects and you should wait atleast 24 hours. Is there any particular make ? I just started using it a month back. And I don't use Minoxidil at all. I use Laser Comb after Derma Roller.
Senior Member Rashid36 Posted April 14, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted April 14, 2016 I'm going to stay with 0.25mm needle for the moment as i'm using monoxidil. I was told the derma roller lasts around 6 weeks ? I wonder if derma rolling has any effect on normal hair ?

You are doing excellent job and your videos are very informative. But I am sought of skeptical about this Derma roller thing? I did not know you are here on the forum, after watching your video about derma roller yesterday I searched for the same here and that lead me to this thread and I am glad to see here. I have just had a HT session 10 days back and as you said one should wait for atleast one moth before using this. I will visit my HT surgeon soon and I will consult about the same with him. Did you consulted Dr. Gurang about the same, If it is safe. regards Abhay
