V. G. , 40 year old male, with a diagnosis of Androgenetic Alopecia Norwood IV with thinning forelock; He had hair transplantation – 3662 grafts (7873 hairs), 1-hair 449, 2-hairs graft 2215, 3-hairs graft 998; Grafts were placed over the front and crown with a conservative hairline . No untoward complications were noted during and after surgery. Patient had good results and is very happy and would like to come back to add on density later.

Great transformation for this patient! You covered a lot of real estate for the number of grafts! From the pics it looks to me like he has a reasonable amount of density given where he started. If I were him I'd think about adding some temple points.

Please find the breakdown for the follicular units transplanted over the front and crown:

Front: 1hair - 449, 2hair - 1005, 3hair- 798, total 2252 grafts

Crown: 2 hairs- 1210, 3hairs- 200, total 1410 grafts

Grand total of 3662 grafts

 

The patient indeed came back for the second session and I did lower down the hairline a bit and did the temples as well. Please find photos of such attached.

The crown area specially turned out great dr pathomvanich considering only 1400 grafts were placed there. Was the patient on medication prior to surgery? what was the size of the area covered cm2 in the crown area, Also dr pathomvanich have you got post of pictures of the patient after first session thanks.

The patient was on Finasteride and Minoxidil lotion many years before surgery. The crown is 66 cm2. Photos after the 1st transplant was posted earlier.

I agree, great density and coverage for 1400 for a pretty sparse crown.

 

Please update this patient after 2nd procedure; he started @ very similar hair loss to me with 1st procedure and had about as many grafts but I focused all mine in front 2/3rds. He is going to look fantastic after the 2nd with an even lower hairline.
