Regular Member confused123 Posted November 28, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted November 28, 2009 Hi All, Is it logical to have my 1st HT in hairline and some of crown from behind and leaving mid scalp HT free. I comb my front hair backword and my hair back at crown is combed forward to hide the mid scalp. (I also have some of my native hair at mid scalp). Please let me know if it is feasibile and can be a good approach. Thanks!
Bill - Seemiller
Confused, It's probably more suitable for a physician to place hair in the frontal areas of loss prior to hitting the crown. Hitting the front and the crown while the mid scalp region contains little or no hair would look unnatural to those gazing at the top of your head. Obviously, this depends on how much hair you have left in these areas. All the Best, Bill

Dr. Glenn Charles
It would really help to have more information. How old are you? What is your family history of hair loss? Are you still losing hair or has the hair loss been stable? A few posted photos would also be valuable in giving you a recommendation as to if you should have a hair transplant and if so what areas should be worked on first. I agree that in most patients the frontal and mid scalp areas should be transplanted prior to the crown. Regular Member confused123 Posted December 6, 2009 Author Regular Member Share Posted December 6, 2009 Here is the back. Can u guys estimate the minimum no. of grafts I should go for? I keep my hair v short at sides and back ((almost buzz cut at sides), so i think I wont need much density. Please suggest.
Senior Member aaron1234 Posted December 6, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted December 6, 2009 I wouldn't do much with the crown with your first HT. Get on fin. That might take care of it. It looks like you've got some massive donor, which is great!
