Senior Member hairlosscpa Posted December 1, 2015 Author Senior Member Share Posted December 1, 2015 you should look into taking vitamin k2 with vitamin d. Thanks. Why do you recommend vit k2 with d? 1st Procedure, Oct. 2012 - 1,704 grafts FUT w/Dr. True 2nd Procedure, Sept. 2015 - 2500 grafts FUE w/Dr. Vories FUE Progress - http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/180966-my-experience-w-dr-vories-2-500-grafts.html FUE 1 year result - http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/184716-1-year-results-2-500-grafts-w-dr-vories.html
Senior Member matt1164 Posted December 2, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted December 2, 2015 Thanks. Why do you recommend vit k2 with d? from personal experience. but there is a lot of literature out there to support why k should be taken with d. some people don't absorb vit d and need k with it. I am one of those people. I did 50,000 ius a week for 12 weeks (dr prescribed) and my vitamin d was still very low at 18. I added vit k and did vit d 4000 ius a day and after 3 months my vit D was normal. a lot of doctors don't even know that k is just as important as d. make sure its vitamin k as mk7. Senior Member hairlosscpa Posted December 15, 2015 Author Senior Member Share Posted December 15, 2015 Attached are my progress photos 3 days shy of 3months post-op. I have attached two images which compares my status from around 10 weeks post-op to now. I have been applying rogaine foam once a day to the crown area for the last 2/3 weeks. I still have some patchiness in my donor area. Use Couvre and Caboki to conceal it. From what I have read, this appears to be normal. I feel like I am making decent progress. All questions and comments welcomed! I'm day 14 so ages off, but i also have purchased some Couvre, for the Christmas period, hair is too short at the minute though. I'm day 14 so ages off, but i also have purchased some Couvre, for the Christmas period, hair is too short at the minute though. Your strip scar is very thin, hard to see in the photos Couvre can be great with short hair. You just need to apply very little and try to spread it as much as you can around the scalp, almost like trying to apply a thin light even layer throughout. I feel like then only it looks the most natural. Also make sure the sponge is slightly damp too when applying. I feel like that helps with adding a thin layer more evenly. Senior Member Petchski Posted December 15, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted December 15, 2015 Thanks for your tips on the Couvre, will try it next week. Need it for covering the strip scar mostly, then once the hair grows to at least a grade 3 i'm all set. Regular Member robc Posted December 28, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted December 28, 2015 Hi CPA, Thanks for your updates and posts. I tries to PM you, but couldn't seem to get the function to work. I have an online consult with Dr Vories soon, I liked the fact that he has a lot of case pictures/videos online to view, specializes in FUE, seems reasonably priced, and is relatively close from ATL. Let me know your feelings and how many Doctors your consulted before the procedure? Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I'm 55, so going to be one and done for me
Senior Member hairlosscpa Posted February 1, 2016 Author Senior Member Share Posted February 1, 2016 (edited) Attached is my 4.5 month progress. I feel that my hairline is looking thicker and starting to fill in nicely in the area where it has grown. I do feel like there are a few gaps that are noticeable to me but maybe not to the untrained eye. Specifically my right temple area that you will see boxed off in pic #7. I hope this eventually fills in. Still some noticeable thinness in donor area, I'm hoping that resolves soon. Overall I am happy with my progress so far. I have also been using rogaine (minoxidil 5%) 1x/day for about 2 months. I feel that might have made a slight improvement in my crown. My comparison pics are comparing month 4.5 to month 3. I received my first haircut 2 weeks ago. Comments welcomed! Senior Member JON86 Posted February 1, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted February 1, 2016 Looks real good for four and a half months. Plenty of time left for the temple areas to thicken up.

Senior Member hairlosscpa Posted March 21, 2016 Author Senior Member Share Posted March 21, 2016 Attached are pre-op and immediate post-op pics sent by Dr. Vories and my 6 month post op pics taken in my bathroom. Growth is getting better. Hopefully more maturation and thickness to come. Appreciate it! ontop, here is my graft breakdown: Final Count- 2510 grafts 1's. 840 2's. 1395 3's. 220 4's. 55 I've still been taking .25mg Propecia every other day along with 5% Rogaine foam 1x/day. Unfortunately, I feel like my crown has lost a tiny bit of ground but I have also noticed increased in shedding which hopefully means regrowth soon. I have probably been continuing this regimen for 5 months. 1st Procedure, Oct. 2012 - 1,704 grafts FUT w/Dr. True 2nd Procedure, Sept. 2015 - 2500 grafts FUE w/Dr. Vories FUE Progress - http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/180966-my-experience-w-dr-vories-2-500-grafts.html FUE 1 year result - http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/184716-1-year-results-2-500-grafts-w-dr-vories.html
