I did 3200 grafts 2 weeks ago. Still haven't experienced shock hairloss but I guess that is coming. Could anyone take a look. The results seem weird. I know it's early but still....

I was told it could take up to 18 months especially on the crown.

Looks totally fine to me - very clean and seems well healed after 2 weeks. I had 4000 grafts done 50 days ago - some shock loss initially around the recipient area then shedding began in earnest after 4 weeks. Yours all looks good to me though

Hey John,

Congrats on the procedure!

Like Feld said above, this looks very normal for 2 weeks.

As far as the shedding and growth is concerned: you can expect the grafts to shed anytime between day 10 and the end of month 2. Some people are fortunate and get some growth of the grafts before they shed, and these patients seem to shed a bit later. Others seem to have a few grafts that, for whatever reason, don't seem to shed. Regardless, it has no effect on the outcome of the procedure.

After they have shed by the end of month 2, the new grafts will start growing around month 3. You'll usually be able to see the new growth some time around month 4. Keep in mind that the hairs these follicles produce are very thin and wispy at first. They will continue thickening and shaping until around month 12. This is when you can expect to see the "final results." Although it can sometimes take up to 14-18 months to really appreciate the outcome.

So everything looks normal for now. From here, it's all a waiting game. Nothing to do but relax and grow! Good luck!

Looks absolutely fine and you seem to have healed well. Nothing to worry about there.

As the others said, everything looks totally normal. The best thing you can do for yourself at this point is to try and completely forget about your hair. While the waiting game is the hardest part of a hair transplant, the first couple months really do go by very fast. The more you can try to preoccupy yourself with other thoughts (over the next couple months especially), the happier you'll be.

It's really hard for me to believe that it's already been almost a year since my hair transplant. Time really does fly, so just sit back and enjoy the ride. :)

Hej!

Tack for ditt snabba svar!
