Regular Member Michael Vories, MD Posted February 19, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted February 19, 2015 In our experience, diffuse thinning of hair can be difficult to treat. Attempting to build up hair density while at the same time avoiding trauma to the existing hair makes this a tough case. 5x Loupes to magnify the recipient area is a necessity. Here is a series of photos of a recent case, Pre-op, immediate post-op, and 5 months post-op (submitted by the patient). Regular Member Michael Vories, MD Posted February 19, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 19, 2015 This patient is stable on finasteride 5 mg 1/2 MWF, and Rogaine Foam at night, which has likely contributed to his result. Regular Member srik Posted February 20, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted February 20, 2015 Nice result. I believe the density would only increase with time. Was there any shockloss to his native hair in the recepient area? How long was the patient on meds before the surgery?
