Regular Member aguafria Posted January 14, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted January 14, 2015 hello, I had 4200 grafts done with dr path in bangkok in November And after my scabs came off , I had what resembled a buzz cut for about 2 weeks, But they basically all fell out. Which is what I expected . However, it now being 2 months later, I'm seeing new growth , albeit sparse That's a good 3 or 4cm long. Is this to be expected at this early stage ? I expected it to only start showing at around 4 months.

Regular Member aguafria Posted January 14, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted January 14, 2015 Yep that's how it starts and then gets thicker Great stuff . I kept reading about a 2 month shed, so I wasn't sure if this new growth was here to stay.

Senior Member mikeey Posted January 15, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted January 15, 2015 I think gillenator , had earlier stated at 4 Months , the growth just starts . I dunno if he meant that the hair will start piercing the skin or the hair will gain in size and make itself visible . Please clarify this Gill ... as you are very well versed in this topic ! Senior Member gillenator Posted January 17, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted January 17, 2015 Yes, just to clarify, for most individuals the new growth just begins to break through the surface of the scalp at 3-4 months post-op. Obviously there are some exceptions for early bloomers as well as late bloomers. But the whole premise behind this is that a high percent of transplanted follicles go into the dormant stage for an average of three months and then enter the growth phase.
