Senior Member spitfire uk Posted November 10, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted November 10, 2014 Default Dr Doganay 1075 4/11/14 Hi guys , this week i finally got round to having my crown treated by Dr Hakan in Antalya , Turkey. Now clearly i will have to wait for the end results before making any clear judgement on the treatment but what i can talk about is the service i recieved. I landed late on Monday at the Airport to be met by the multi talented Didem who is a diamond , nothing is too much trouble and her English is great . I was taken to the private OFM Hospital in Antalya where i was shown to my room and a large bag of water and things to eat was given to me by one of Hakan's staff (keep in mind this was late at night there). The room was clean and tidy with a modern feel , walk in bathroom and wall mounted flat screen with two English channels as well as Turkish TV.....internet not so good!. I was woken early next morning to give blood before my operation followed by a light breakfast supplied by the Hospital , time soon flew and it was time to meet Dr Hakan to go through what would happen during the Operation . Didem was once again involved in the process and helping the translating between Dr Hakan and I. He speaks broken English but seemed a nice bloke , he uses his English at the correct vital times to put it one way. Once all was decided i headed off to have a strip shaved down on my head for which the grafts would be removed by manual punch , again it all seemed so smooth like they had done it a million times before together. Extraction came and Dr Hakan did about half before leaving his Tech to finish , I know there's some debate over that issue but i put my trust in the staff Hakan chooses. After that was done i was quickly bandaged up and taken for a light lunch which lasted about 25 minutes , i like the way Turkish people don't stare and don't care what you are having done . Lunch done and it's back in the chair for the best bit , using the Choi pen i can honestly say it was painless and quick . Didem and a guy who spoke English (sorry didn't catch his name) were again in the room checking on me and translating everything for Dr Hakan .All in all it took about 3.5 hours for the whole thing to be done which just breezed by , i was then wheeled back to my bed to rest (i was given tablets for pain and swelling ). Next morning came and again after a light breakfast i was taken to see Dr Hakan who inspected the work before i was taken to be shown how to be washed . After that it was time to pay up and was given a goody bag of pills (biotin/ fin) , creams and shampoo with instructions on how to use them all . I rested up the rest of the day before being taken to the airport by Didem and returned home. As i said at the start of this piece i can't see what the result will be but if it's anywhere near the care and attention i recieved from Dr Hakan , Didem and the rest of the staff i will be very happy . Top class service , i hope for the same result wise and right now i feel quietly confident . Already a few days on you can't notice surgery unless you dig deep so that's a good start.. Photos to follow when i get 5 mins

Interesting he used manual punch...I had assumed he was primarily motorized. 3382 FUE Lupanzula http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/185463-3382-grafts-lupanzula.html
Senior Member spitfire uk Posted November 14, 2014 Author Senior Member Share Posted November 14, 2014 Thanks for the review. Interesting he used manual punch...I had assumed he was primarily motorized. Hi , he does both but i requested punch as i felt a bit more confident that way . If i go back and now i have a feel for the Dr i could be tempted by motorized , he was clear with me there is no difference in results in his opinion. I must say I didnt expect to feel stubble after only 2 months , also Mrs S says there are a number of black dots on the scalp. Fingers crossed!
