Has anybody lost significant hair after maintaining while on meds?

I've been on Propecia for about 8 years now, starting when I was 22. I had a few surgeries, and I don't feel like I've lost any hair since starting.

Since the day I started, I never missed a dose, if I did I would double it the next day.

Has anybody else on a rigid regimen actually lost hair after maintaining it for a while? I'm curious because I am trying to make a long term hair plan here.

Let's hear your stories.

some people do report Finasteride losing its effectiveness over time, some of the options are changing dosage or even switching to stronger Dut (Avodart).

but make sure you consult with your doctor due to the risk of possible side affects of the above

go dense or go home

I like your hair in your avatar, Ryan. Yes, I've heard it loses effectiveness over time, but as stated above, everyone is different and you should talk to your HT doc about your personal situation.

Paulygon is a former patient of Dr. Parsa Mohebi

My regimen includes:

HT #1 2710 grafts at Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration in Los Angeles in 2012

Rogaine foam 2x daily, since 2012 (stopped ~10/2015)

Finasteride 1.25mg daily, since 2012 (stopped ~12/2015)

HT #2 3238 grafts at Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration in Los Angeles in Jun. 2016

Started Rogaine and Propecia in July. 2016 after being off of them for about a year.
