exploringoptions
Am I getting the most out of 14k? I have an option to save a few k if I see Dr Vogel in MD when he has a cancellation or something. What would you guys and girls do if you could go anywhere and see anyone. I hear Dr Vogel does a lot of corrective surgery which makes me comfortable. I am a great candidate I just dont want too spend so much if I have other options regarding surgeons, procedure, and success rate. I am aiming for FUE and no scars. Thank you EO Am I asking too much to find a surgeon in another place that offers the same procedure at a less expensive rate than $8.5 a hair or am I being cheap? He extracts each one individually and I seem to be drawn into his is world for the moment. Anyone care to encourage me to continue or start looking for another surgeon? Who is better? My gut tells me to reach out to you. I found him in your fourm as a facility a fourm admin visited.
Senior Member Dutch Posted June 5, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted June 5, 2014 Have you taken a look at the list of surgeons on this site? You'd have to go with one you're comfortable with after you've done your research. There are prices much less than what you quote & also from excellent surgeons. Can't have a hair transplant without scarring- FUE causes white dots & thinner donor area. Also depends on your situation & how many grafts you need- pics would help. Senior Member hsrp10 Posted June 6, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted June 6, 2014 Price is no option then FUE with Dr. Lorenzo in UK, Dr. Konior in Chicago or Dr. Bisanga in Brussels Don't be afraid to travel, and make sure to go with a recommended surgeon and only pull the trigger after doing a sh#t load of research! go dense or go home Unbiased advice and opinions based on 25 plus years of researching and actual experience with hair loss, hair restoration via both FUT & FUE, SMP, scalp issues including scalp eczema & seborrheic dermatitis and many others HSRP10's favorite FUT surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr Hasson, Dr. Rahal HSRP10's favorite FUE surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr. Bisanga, Dr. Erdogan, Dr. Couto (*indicates actual experience with doctor)

Regular Member johndoe1 Posted June 6, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted June 6, 2014 +10 to what others said. Do not worry about price..it is all about getting the best doc possible. When you are at home recovering you will be staring at your head endlessly. Then the next few weeks/months you will still be staring at it and hoping for hair to grow. And you will have zero regrets that you went with the best doc possible even if it cost you more....
exploringoptions
Hello I am truly terrified at having this go wrong for me and truly appreciate your responses. After reading your reply's I decided to hold off and do a little more research. I did select Dr Vogal from the list of providers here and went to his office and felt great there. I did however feel in my gut that 14+k for 1,500 FUE was a bit steep and thought a bit more looking into was necessary. That said I was ready to commit based on how I felt about everything else. Until I read your responses. I do want to get a great transplant at a fair rate and will travel anywhere to get it. Here are my pictures. Europe sounds great. I really wanted this to be a very positive experience for me. I truly thank you for your guidance. I feel this moment is very important in our lives. It really can go bad and then what options keep getting more and more miniscule. I do not want that to happen to me. Please excuse the long delay in replying. Thank you. Senior Member hsrp10 Posted June 19, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted June 19, 2014 If you're truly set on FUE, for sure travel to Europe! Either Dr. Bisanga or Dr. Erdogan are my favorites, and if you can get a booking and have the funds also try to go with Dr. Lorenzo as well. go dense or go home Unbiased advice and opinions based on 25 plus years of researching and actual experience with hair loss, hair restoration via both FUT & FUE, SMP, scalp issues including scalp eczema & seborrheic dermatitis and many others HSRP10's favorite FUT surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr Hasson, Dr. Rahal HSRP10's favorite FUE surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr. Bisanga, Dr. Erdogan, Dr. Couto (*indicates actual experience with doctor)
exploringoptions
I am not set on FUE I actually need to figure that out now. I am not entirely sure what will work for me just yet. I want the surgery and scares to be as inconsipicous as possible. I want the best facility with the most yield results. I am considering heading to Chicago for a consult with Dr. Raymond K. This Rogain is starting to lose its kick and now I am switching to Propecia. hsrp10 I will check on Dr. Bisanga or Dr. Erdogan Thank you. Is europe really where I have to go. Are there no USA Dr's that you like?
Senior Member hsrp10 Posted June 19, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted June 19, 2014 (edited) That would be a very smart move, Dr. Konior does amazing work, and recently has been doing more FUE cases as well. Saw you edited your post, yes I highly recommend Dr. Konior for all of the reasons below. This is what I wrote to another potential patient on Dr. Konior (busy today so just copying/pasting...) - he gets killer hairline and density results! - does everything himself including graft placement and pre-op and post-op consultations - he'll personally answer most of the e-mail concerns you have afterwards (not his rep or assistants! ) - the post-op redness that lasts months with other clinics will be gone in a week or few weeks - he is a highly dedicated down-to earth and very likeable guy! who literally wrote the book on hair restoration, one of the best in the world You'll see what I mean when you meet him. His staff are also amazing too Edited June 19, 2014 by hsrp10 go dense or go home Unbiased advice and opinions based on 25 plus years of researching and actual experience with hair loss, hair restoration via both FUT & FUE, SMP, scalp issues including scalp eczema & seborrheic dermatitis and many others HSRP10's favorite FUT surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr Hasson, Dr. Rahal HSRP10's favorite FUE surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr. Bisanga, Dr. Erdogan, Dr. Couto (*indicates actual experience with doctor)
