Hello Guys, Finally i have decided to go under knife after waiting for 5years to get HT. 5Yrs coz, the time i started losing hair that was at 19 i wanted to go for HT but with advice from docs that it was very early to go for HT. I was advised to wait and see how my hair loss progresses in 5years to decide upon HT. So i feel this is the right time for me.

So after Consultation it is decided for around 2000grafts in FUE. Guys please suggest me whether 2000 grafts will be enough for a good hairline and to cover thinning hair. I have good hair at top and back. I am looking for good hairline and i have thinning hair at the front.

I am attaching my recent pic and had a shave 3 4 days back hope it gives a proper view of my balding.

Thanks

If the majority of your hair loss is in the front, I think 2,000 grafts forming a new hairline would be great. A little hard to tell for sure from the pictures but a skilled physician can do wonders with 2,000 grafts. I had over 5,000 done in 2012 with awesome results! However, keep in mind many of my grafts were placed in the crown area.

Finally my Date for operation has been confirmed on April 2 weekend. Feeling excited and at the same time very nervous about the final result :(

Your views and advice would be invaluable. :)

Thanks

Hi Taurus ....

2000 grafts is a good sized procedure and should be sufficient to give you a good hairline. I had a similar procedure performed in Greece 7 years ago using FUE. The results were great but there was not sufficient left over to go into the crown area. So if you are just looking for your frontal area to be done and have a good surgeon then you should be okay.
