Turkey - Hair transplant surgeons

Hi,

I am planning on going to Turkey next month to have a hair transplant. I have done some research and come across a few clinics and hair transplant surgeons. Was wondering if anyone had heard of any of the following and which one would you recommend.

Maral Hair Clinic: Dr Tagrul Maral -

I have heard of his work on this network, but was unsure due to him not doing the transplant himself - although his prices are very cheap.)

Estethica: Dr. Mohammed abu Azab -

They have quite competitive prices and a all inclusive package, but I have not heard of the doctor much although read about a beard transplant on one of the blog: (link removed by moderator), also they are giving guarantee and use a method called purkutan (with needles to implant hairs)

Art Hospita: Dr Ali Karahan

Comfortzone: Dr Canan -

Dr.Ali Dursun Kan -

They are not as competitive but are offering PRP treatment within the price.

Dr Serkan Aygin Clinic -

Have not had a detailed response from them, but I have heard of this doctor.

In my opinion I was initially going to go with Tagrul Maral - as seen some good reviews of his work on this site. But as he is not doing the transplant himself, I am now considering Estethica or Art Hospita.

I have also researched the recommended physicians on this site for Turkey Dr Erdogan and Dr. Hakan Doganay - they seem to be quite a bit more expensive.

Anone recommend any of the above or make further suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The only doctor on your list I have heard of is Doctor Maral. In my opinion the only doctors to consider if you are going to Turkey are Dr Hakan Dongonay, Dr Koray Erdogan and Dr Erkan Demirsoy (in no particular order). All three have shown some great results!

I would be cautious about going with a doctor whose results you may not have seen and who has no independent verification.

In my opinion the best bets are Erdogan and Doganay. Erdogan is a bit more expensive but both are cheaper than the North American surgeons.

I wouldn't take risks. I'd pay that bit extra to know you're in good hands.

Thanks for your replies.

I have just had a response from Dr Demisoroy, he has suggested considerable more grafts than the other doctors. I am not entirely sure why, but he has said to cover all bald patches i will require up 5500 - 6000 grafts, which is quite alot considering my hair loss is not as bad as many, i am not completely bold on top.

I have read about Dr Sekin Aygin on this forum and also about Ali Karahan. With some good results. Dr Maral is cheap but him not doing the transplant concerns me.

My pics attached what you guys think?

Well i have just had a HT from Dr Maral and can say he is there to over see it. His well trained technicians do the rest.

Dr Maral does all the planning and you will see him before/during and after the HT.

Considering this was my 4th HT i was impressed with the work done - see my profile pic for a just after shot !

Hi johnboy,

Thanks for your response. Looks like you have had a considerable amount of grafts. I am mainly concerned about the front hairline construction, as people are using various techniques to create it, with single hairs and then a feather effect, and not in a straight line. Did Maral ask or tell you of how you wanted your hairline constructed?

Personally, I'm a very big fan of the work I am seeing from Dr Koray Erdogan. I also think Dr Hakan Doganay is a great option.

I have searched Dogonay, but not Kesar? Whats the full name?

I think it's Dr Muttilap Keser.

Current Regimen:

- Jasons Restorative Biotin Shampoo 2x daily / Nizoral 2% 2x weekly

- Nettle Root 500mg, MSM 1500mg, Biotin 5mg, Multi Vit, Omega 3

His full name is Muttalip Keser. He has many pre-post op photos on german and italian forums but I couldn't so many here. His work is really successful, too I think. As I've heard he does all surgeries in person and uses manual punch method which is really cool for the rate of steady grafts. I am still searching about him. But he is not in Istanbul, his clinic is in Ankara..

Since Koray Erdogan and Hakan Doganay are not in your list maybe due to their price. I can only recommend Dr Serkan Aygin. He is the most famous doctor here in Gulf Region (UAE + Bahrain...etc). My barber swears by his work quality, 3 of his clients went to the same doctor that he even saves Dr. Serkan's information to pass to other balding clients. I actually met one of them and was really impressed. Thats the best I can help you with :-)

I have googled Dr Serkan and most of the things about him are in Turkish. He has a facebook page with over 15000 likes which is quite amazing.

Do you happen to know his pricelist?

Hello everyone,

I posted a replay to this thread a few months ago and I hardly got any response from anyone. I thought this forum is supposed to be very helpful and users are active and resourceful but unfortunately I haven't been getting any good response from anyone on here. I really would like to know your experience from doing a FUE hair transplant and which Dr. you chose to do the transplant with.

Also anyone can provide feedback on Dr. Ali Karahan? I haven't seen anyone post their experience and provide feedback on him. Thanks for the help
