Regular Member Dr. William Lindsey Posted February 11, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted February 11, 2014 This nice younger guy comes to our area on business and had been consulting with us for a few years. A few years ago he reports that a nearby office performed 1000 FUEs on him with no significant growth. His family tends to wind up class 4s and he'd shed 2/3s of his frontal 1/3 of the course of our meetings. We did 2500 grafts of his nice wavy hair 5 months ago and he popped in Friday for a check .During his surgery and as shown on the pics, very little scar tissue or indication of previous work was seen...just a few thicker grafts along the hairline. I believe he is on meds for his crown which is currently stable. I hope he'll stop by next fall for a 1 year pic. Shown are day of surgery, a week, and 5 months 2 weeks. Senior Member Spanker Posted February 11, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted February 11, 2014 he'd shed 2/3s of his frontal 1/3 of the course of our meetings. I am a heavy shedder, pretty much globally (safe zone too) and have been all of my life really. What kind of significance is shedding in terms of a final nw pattern? I tend to pay most attention to the caliber that falls. When I shed a wimpy hair, I dig a hole, bury it, give it a 7 gun salute and have a graveside service for it, because I know it is probably not coming back with any significance, but most of my shed hair is strong so I don't stress over it. When I was in school I would stand over large schematics running my fingers through my hair (from the stress of trying to figure out what I was looking at) and I may have 60 or 70 hairs on the schematics by the end of my time working that day and that was 17 years ago and I still have most of my hair. Looks like nice growth for 5 months. Hope he follows up. I am an online representative for Dr. Raymond Konior who is an elite member of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians. Regular Member Dr. William Lindsey Posted February 18, 2014 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 18, 2014 Thanks Spanker I too have hair loss issues but with my fairly short hair and 2 dogs at the house, I rarely see a hair shed....but my wife is convinced that every time I get an itchy spot on my scalp that its the "last gasp of a dying follicle". Senior Member Patriot34 Posted February 19, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted February 19, 2014 The irregularities in the hairline were well done. I think the hairline looks very natural. Well done.
Regular Member Dr. William Lindsey Posted March 18, 2014 Author Regular Member Share Posted March 18, 2014 Hey thanks for the hairline comment. No matter your religion my philosophy is "God doesn't make straight lines" so put some irregularities in that hairline design. Dr. Lindsey McLean VA William H.
