Well, the 1st month really flew by pretty fast. Not alot going on and I dont expect much to happen at least for the next few months or .Still feels like lots of tiny prickly hairs in my recipient area.I actually was thinking these grafts would have started to shed by now.Maybe I'll be lucky and not experience any shedding, maybe not. Although its still a bit tender, my donor area is starting to heal also.

Now onto more waiting. Thanks for viewing

You be fine mate. You been through it before and you know what to expect to happen! Its a emotional roller coaster. I found the first 3 months the most difficult. The ugly duckling phrase had a weird effect on some

Agree. I'm at the 3 month mark and I am tired of hiding under a hat. While I've had noticeable growth - to the point where my daughters have said I'm looking fuzzy - it's hard for me to picture it fully grown in. And so of course I think what the hell did I do? I've found the experience to be a little isolating.

I am experiencing the same Since 21. Despite hitting 4 months and 3 weeks, the growth is fuzzing. Good thing is the previous bald areas are filling in now. I am sure I still have a majority of grafts to pop out yet. I think 4 months mark growth level is 15%?

Takes a lot of faith and that's easy to lose at times. I still have some bare patches and wonder if they will fill in and whether the fuzz will thicken to become actual hair. One of my concerns coming into this was having a thin, 'see through' result that screamed HT. Hang in there, man.

Yep same here. Have some small patches, checked my post op pics which show these areas were dense packed. Maybe the grafts are still asleep! Happy growing mate

Ha ha, I've done the same thing - checked the post-op pics to make sure there were grafts there before they shed. Wishing you the same. Grow well.

Yeah that is exactly what I have been thinking, def do not want anything see through, and only being 2 days post op I can i understand your isolation comment already but that's what this forum is for.Are you using Regaine foam or anything else to help with regrowth?

Not sure about Since 21 but I am using brand proscar. I cut the pills into 4. Crown and mid scalp have improved. Seeing less hair loss when showering or when running fingers through hair. I been on proscar for 4 months. Started the week after my ht. It does take a year to assess if its working for you

Cheers Yaz..,I was talking a dht blocker before the op but it made my sides worse hence why I had them done, I was wondering if I start taking it again will it damage or hinder the growth of the new grafts on the sides?

If you were having sides, try taking a lower dose and then gradually build up. Your body should gradually adjust. The new grafts shouldn't be affected by DHT as they should be taken from the safe zone. Any ethical surgeon knows this. The new grafts if taken from the safe zone should grow free of DHT. Regaine can help speed up the growth of the new hairs but I personally wouldn't recommend it. If you accidentally use Regaine on native hair or if grafts were places between existing native hair then you have to stick to Regaine for life; if Regaine is used. I am saying this from personal experience. The key is to be patient. An ht is a big investment and having patience is a must

No I meant the sides of my head ha, ie above the ears etc. What I think is, that area needs dht to grow so will blocking it hinder the regrowth there, I know it's confusing but just google propecia above the ears/sideburns and there is plenty of cases.Maybe some proscar crushed up into some regaine foam might be better to use on top instead of taking it internally.

Hey Scooter, glad your first month went by fast. Mine's went by agonizing slow :o. I was slow to shed too and by the time some fell out at 2 months, others were beginning to grow, so you may experience the same thing.

All the best in the coming few months and I look forward to seeing how it turns out.
