Regular Member HairHopeful41 Posted October 19, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted October 19, 2013 One of the doctors I have spoken to in regards to an FUE transplant utilizes his staff to trim the harvested grafts, AND implant the grafts. The Dr designs the hairline and makes all recipient sites. I know that it is common to have the staff trim the grafts, but is it acceptable/normal not to have the Dr actually implant the grafts? Senior Member Shampoo Posted October 19, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted October 19, 2013 Yes that is how most top clinics do it, but that is also a great reason to choose a world class clinic that has a very talented experienced team of technicians. Techs are not to be underestimated as far as their skill level and ability to do high quality tedious work for many hours. It's not an accident that the best clinics usually have the best techs. Some clinics use part-time techs, fly-in techs, and/or do not have a deep staff of full time techs. This is one reason some clinics do not do large sessions on a regular basis. Techs placed most all my grafts at Hasson/Wong which is one of the best hair transplant clinics in the world. Dr. Dow Stough - 1000 Grafts - 1996 Dr. Jerry Wong - 4352 Grafts - August 2012 Dr. Jerry Wong - 2708 Grafts - May 2016 Remember a hair transplant turns back the clock, but it doesn't stop the clock.
