Regular Member Suzanne J Posted August 28, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted August 28, 2013 This 27 y/o male three years ago had a session by Dr. Pawlinga of 1486 grafts, consisting of 1486 FU's and 410 MFU grafts. His hair was very fine and the donor density was slightly below average. He returned for additional density at the time of the "after" photos shown here. Suzanne J. Office Manager for Drs. Senior Member Spanker Posted August 28, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted August 28, 2013 How many total grafts was this. Was the 1486 including the DFU'S? How many grafts did he get this time around. Very appropriate plan for a young guy. I am an online representative for Dr. Raymond Konior who is an elite member of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians. Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted August 28, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted August 28, 2013 A very subtle but perceptible improvement. This is a great example for young guys who need to understand what realistic expectations look like. David - Former Forum Co-Moderator and Editorial Assistant I am not a medical professional. Regular Member Suzanne J Posted August 28, 2013 Author Regular Member Share Posted August 28, 2013 Spanker, Sorry about the mathematical goof. It was a total of 1720 grafts, which came out to 5022 hairs. The number you referred to was the number of FU's put in. Suzanne J.
Senior Member cloudy Posted August 28, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted August 28, 2013 Nice and realistic approach. Since this man is very young, he actually restored his hair not grew it like it's from a 18 year old. Donor hair should be kept as much as possible for potential HTs since in coming years hair will only fall off, not regrow. Thus this solution is the best for almost every thinker who is about to do a HT. Thanks for nice photos!
