Texas32
Hello, I'm new to the forum and have a HT scheduled with Dr. Arocha in a few weeks. I have a couple questions that you guys might be able to help with. Unless I missed it, Dr. Arocha didn't recommend scalp exercises. What are your thoughts on that? I didn't know how to do them so I just did a search on YouTube and will probably start doing them just in case. Also - I have a week long vacation scheduled after the transplant to San Francisco. From what I've heard there's a lot of walking up and down hills in San Francisco...Do you think I'll be ok if I make it a point to take a cab most places? I just don't know how much/little physical movement I should be doing. Thank you in advance for any advice or feedback.
Senior Member Blake Bloxham Posted July 8, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted July 8, 2013 Texas, I highly doubt Dr. Arocha would take issue with you doing scalp exercises. However, you may want to check. How long after the transplant are you going on vacation? Senior Member Nick153452 Posted July 8, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted July 8, 2013 Yeah if I were you I would take it very easy at that point.... Towards the end of the vacation, you should be able to be "more" physical, however during the first few days, you are going to risk damaging grafts. You may get nudged, wind may blow off your cap as you walk around. All of these little things pose danger to your grafts as they set.
