Journeynorth
Just joined this forum. Looking into getting my first ht. I'm 33 years old. Been losing hair for about 10 years. About a N5-5A. Live in Alaska,so I must travel for surgery regardless. Thinking perhaps India.? Best vaule for money. Going to need least 4000 grafts or so I'm told. -What is the maxium number of grafts per surgery session suggested ? -Any feed back on Dr Tejinder Bhatti? Cheers. They say don't base your decisions on price but lets be relistic, not eveyone is loaded. H&W are probably nearest and would be a fine choice for 4000 grafts. If i was going to India/Asia I would look at Dr Rahda and Dr Path . I'm not sure about Bhatti. 4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013 1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018 763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020 Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day
Senior Member Raj Jayukdht Posted April 9, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted April 9, 2013 Its so true about money, you will need to find a Dr according to your budget..IMO What do you want...FUE or FUT? Dr Radha, H&W and Dr Path both do FUT and Dr Bhatti does only FUE formerly know as Jayukdht http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/177363-hair-transplant-dr-bhatti-oct-14-part-2-procedure.html
Journeynorth
Thinking three sessions FUE about 1500 grafts each over three years. I wear my hair long, but want to have the option for short hair as I age. It seems from posts on this form that fewer grafts yields a higher growth rate vs. Going for a mega session??? Senior Member Raj Jayukdht Posted April 9, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted April 9, 2013 (edited) you can have a mega session 3000 + but have you got room on your scalp for the grafts and also you would need to plan for the future aswell, as you will have limited amount of grafts from your donor area unless you go for BHT awell (body hair transplant). Why dont you put some photos up, and see what other members say Edited April 9, 2013 by jayukdht formerly know as Jayukdht http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/177363-hair-transplant-dr-bhatti-oct-14-part-2-procedure.html

Senior Member 1978matt Posted April 9, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted April 9, 2013 Your loss is similar to mine except you have lost more in the crown. Have you tried Propecia and Rogaine? They can be very effective in preserving and sometimes regrowing hair, primarily in the crown area. Ideally you should try them for 9-12 months. They could mean that you only require say 2500 grafts now instead of 4000 in order to achieve the desired look. 4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013 1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018 763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020 Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day
Senior Member Raj Jayukdht Posted April 9, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted April 9, 2013 Yep I agree with 1978matt, have you thought about taking any meds. I only use rogaine myself on the crown, not happy to take propecia yet. formerly know as Jayukdht http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/177363-hair-transplant-dr-bhatti-oct-14-part-2-procedure.html
Senior Member gillenator Posted April 10, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted April 10, 2013 Always put skill and reputation before cost and convenience of location. You can ask any dissatisified patient and they will tell you that cost means nothing to them if they are not happy and satisfied.
