Regular Member Michael Vories, MD Posted March 23, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted March 23, 2013 This patient underwent a single FUE session of 2000 grafts (3720 follicles) in the hairline and frontal forelock. Positive response to finasteride enhances the transplant, especially in the un-transplanted vertex. Before photos, immediate post-op After photos, and four month post-op After photos are submitted. Senior Member Raj Jayukdht Posted March 24, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted March 24, 2013 what a change of 2000 grafts + med can make formerly know as Jayukdht http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/177363-hair-transplant-dr-bhatti-oct-14-part-2-procedure.html
Regular Member Michael Vories, MD Posted March 24, 2013 Author Regular Member Share Posted March 24, 2013 I use the NeoGraft machine for extractions only. Please let me emphasize I use the machine, this is not a procedure that is delagble to assistants. I also use Hans hair implanters for placement of grafts, so I extract all of the tissue, and I implant all of the tissue. I do use an assistant to load the implanters. I have heard you use the NeoGraft for extractions. Have you had past experience with manual, motorized etc? Are the Hans implanters similar to the Choi implanters that Lorenzo and Hakan use? Regular Member Michael Vories, MD Posted March 24, 2013 Author Regular Member Share Posted March 24, 2013 I use the NeoGraft machine for extractions because of it's speed and short learning curve. I use the Hans implanters due their sustained sharpness, as does Dr. Lorenzo. Bill - Seemiller
Dr. Vories, Thanks for presenting this and many other results (which I'm in the process of reviewing). Do you happen to have any photos of the patient's scalp before surgery with hair? I imagine this patient wore his hair shortly cropped until his transplanted hair started growing in, but I thought I'd ask just in case. Such photos (if they exist) would certainly help us in assessing and appreciating the true cosmetic difference before and after surgery. Best wishes, Bill
Regular Member Michael Vories, MD Posted April 16, 2013 Author Regular Member Share Posted April 16, 2013 I wish I did. He wore his hair very short from the time we saw him for consultation until his procedure.
