Senior Member MyNameIsRich Posted November 30, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted November 30, 2012 Hey guys, I just figured I should make a thread about this, and this is by no means done with malicious intent, but I've been a member of this website for sometime, and nothing makes me feel happier than when I see a great transformation through HT on a members personal blog. One of the earliest blogs that impressed me was this guy, Hair Restoration Site for ChrisHT_by_DrCharles So when I found he had a youtube channel dedicated to fighting hairloss (Hairloss from steriods), I was pretty impressed. in fact, his videos are very assuring, and that if you follow his steps, you'll be using legit products, that he himself uses and swears by. He's pretty much playing the sort of role that Spex plays. After months of watching his videos, and hearing his advice, I came to notice that he never once mentions that he has had TWO hairtransplants, with nearly 4000 grafts implanted into his frontal third. I messaged him asking why he never mentions this, no response. figured he was too busy to see or respond. but then when I realised his videos were no longer requiring comment approval, I posted yesterday on his latest video "Hey man, just wondering why you never mention your two hair transplants in your videos?". Sadly, confirming my fears, he had deleted the comment by the morning. Why would he lie? I guess he benefits from it. all of his videos have links to places where you can buy the products, and he gets a commission for each sale. that's fair enough, because the stuff he preaches no doubt is legit stuff, but frankly, he is bullshitting how well they work. I mean he shows pictures on his website of him basically norwood 5 with bad diffuse all over the top of his head. WAY worse than on his hair transplant blog. Then he claims he's gone from that to a juvenile hairline with 0 hairloss, through no other means than Propecia, some liquid drops on his head every day and a bit of shampoo? I dunno, I just figured I'd share it with you guys. Click to check my hair blog.

Senior Member Dr. Ricardo Mejia Posted December 1, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted December 1, 2012 Everybody needs to make a buck as they say. It is no different than companies advertising FUE with an old outdated strip surgery stretch scar with short hair where the scar is easily seen and another photo with longer hair combed where the scalp can't be seen with a comment, which procedure would you rather have. it is misleading just as you mentioned. when I consult with patients about their hair loss , I always tell everyone they do not need it. Nobody needs a hair transplant. It is a personal Want and desire and purely cosmetic. Good observation nonetheless. melotricity
I am shocked that you brought this up and am glad that I have found this thread. I was about 5 seconds to posting on his youtube comment section about this same thing. But wait it gets better. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/162089-my-toppik-hair-so-real-results-plus-my-hair-transplant-history.html He uses toppik and dermatech...... None of it is real. The guy has the knowledge and is a presentable speaker, but he is lying so far out of his ass it is absurd. Now by all means use what you want if you like how you look. But to make videos on youtube and try to sell lipogaine in every single one of them. When you see him in these videos you see this guy who keeps claiming he was a long time hair sufferer, meanwhile his hair looks great int he video. It is literally purely because of toppik. You can find him on a bunch of forums posting how all you really need is a hair transplant strong enough to create fibers with the toppik product, but those posts were put out way before he started making youtube videos where he seriously preaches and swears by lipogaine, fin, and shampoo. And his personal website shows the same photo I linked and its purpose is to make you believe that he got those results by using lipogaine. I was furious. Posts like this make me wish there was a "like" function here;) Regarding the point of this thread, I don't fault anyone for any financial gains they make in this industry but there should be some integrity involved. I guarantee his hair loss is mostly because of his roid using Click to check my hair blog.
