Regular Member MoeyK Posted November 12, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted November 12, 2012 hey guys, I have been noticing this for a while but only just realized that it was one of the factors contributing to my hair loss. Whenever I am applying rogaine to my crown area, I notice the skin there is like reddish and my scalp seems to always be hot if that makes sense. Also my scalp is very oily as well, is that a bad thing? How do I resolve this inflammation or redness and also get rid of the oily scalp? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Senior Member Jotronic Posted November 12, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted November 12, 2012 This is a common side effect of using Rogaine. If this is the liquid version then switching to the foam version may be all that's needed to alleviate your irritation. Senior Member aaron1234 Posted November 12, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted November 12, 2012 Yup, Rogaine did this to me as well - and I used the foam version! My scalp became really dry and red, even my ears got chapped! The side effects of Rogaine were far worse for me than anything I experienced with finasteride.
