does it hurt for anybody else to wear a hat?

Just wondering if it hurts for anybody else to wear a hat. I try to wear my hat as loose fitting as possible, but after about 5 minutes, my head starts to feel some pretty good discomfort. I'm about 44 days post op, so I thought it would totally be okay to wear a hat without any problems. Any feedback would be welcome!

You shouldn't have any problems wearing a hat. It's understandable within the first week if the patient is experiencing swelling that the hat might be tight. Also when you're going through the healing phase within the first two weeks while you have the sutures still in, it could be uncomfortable with a hat on. I'd suggest you talking to your ht physician about the discomfort.

Yeah, I lived underneath a bandanna the first couple of weeks. Your input is greatly appreciated, though. Hmmm, I guess it is kind of odd to have discomfort to wear a hat this far out of the procedure. Guess I'll have to talk to my doc...

I wore my baseball hat very tight and even at 2 and 3 months post op, after a few hours, I would feel some discomfort. It does not surprise me that you have discomfort at 44 days even wearing it loose.
