Regular Member cautious Posted July 12, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted July 12, 2009 Hi Guys, This is probably a silly question but i was hoping you could clarify growth rates. I understand it takes 3-4 months for the new hairs to start growing after a hair transplant. Is this time from the actual procedure or from when the transplanted hairs fall out given this seems to vary amongst people? thanks

Senior Member the B spot Posted July 12, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted July 12, 2009 Actual procedure---your transplanted hair generally starts growing at 3 months---it may take up to 6-7 months before you can actually see 60-70% of the transplant. Of course, there are those who are slower than others---and it seems each successive HT seems to slow the time as well. Regular Member alwayswaiting1 Posted July 13, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted July 13, 2009 I thought the strip removal was the worst part...but the waiting sucks to. Don't give your self a timeline buddy, just take monthly pics and eventually you'll get there. Don't get discouraged by fast growers. Just assume you'll be a slow grower. If you see signs quickly, like comb, consider yourself blessed.
