  1. I'm week 19 and the growth is sloooooooow, lol. I'm not worried because there isn't much I can do now. I've got 4 weeks till I meet the in-laws so hopefully a head full of hair by then perhaps? One can only hope...
  2. I've had scars on the donor scar for several months and I still do get them (4.5 months postop at the moment). It bothered me at first thinking that the wound hasn't closes properly but it's just hairs poking through the skin.
  3. I should have used the search button at first. Just did a search on the forum and learned Dr. Bernstein and Dr. Rassman were the founders of NHI. Check this post.
  4. Hey guys, Waiting for my hair to grow I've been browsing all the before/after pictures, blogs and doctor websites to picture what my results are going to be. I came across these two portraits of the same patient on two different websites. Bernstein Medical New Hair Institute What do you make of it?

  6. Hey gang, The doctor has used disolvable stitches and several nylon stitches to hold the wound together and relieve the tension of my not so elastic scalp. The nylon stitches were removed on day 6 as per instructions. Day 11 post and I have noticed a couple of tiny blood spots on my pillow. I took a shower today and I think I rubbed the donor area a bit too hard. When I was patting my head dry I also noticed a 1/2 inch line of blood. An hour later I patted the donor area with a napkin and no signs of blood. Should I be worried? I could use some insight. Upirons

  8. Hey guys, Long time lurker, first time poster. I have been considering getting a HT for a few months. I live in the United Arab Emirates and we have several clinics that perform HT surgeries. Unfortunately I've tried to find reviews of surgeons who work here in Dubai and couldn't find any. A friend of a friend tells me of clinic and their procedures using patented equipment called DHI. Called them up and they tell me that the doctors fly in to perform the procedures which raised a red flag right away. None the less I booked a consultation fee is 250 AED (68 USD). When asked how much they charge per hair or graft they replied is they charge now per session? He tells me that a session is 3.5 hours. How many hairs is transplanted in a session I ask? He tells me that I should come in for a consultation. He also tells me that most people go for 2 to 3 sessions. Price per session is 17,000 AED ($4,620 USD)! I looked at their website and I was NOT impressed with the pictures they had up there. The quality of the pictures were beyond poor, where is the high resolution pictures? The video they had on there seemed like it was shot ages ago. Let me tell you guys, I am VERY glad that I came across this forum and did a lot of research on DHI. I might just save myself the $68 and just skip the consultation, still haven't decided yet. I'm not slagging the clinic per say but from reading and checking out all the blogs here I did not come across a patient's blog who went and had a surgery done at DHI. I'm now looking at getting the surgery done in Thailand. So I'll keep looking and would really appreciate any recommended clinics in Dubai or Thailand.
