chilles
Hi, ok so i'm in the middle of 4-5 weeks post op. Ive been incredibly careful in my recovery stage, returning to work tomorrow i thought it would be ok to finally get active. Being a couch potato for the last month sucked! Anyway so i got into a pickup game of soccer. I was wearing a hat backwards and honestly forgot all about my hair transplant I had 1800 grafts placed to form a new hairline. Tonight i HEADBUTTED the soccer ball. So upset with myself. Ive checked since i got home and there doesnt seem to be to much of lasting mark, no blood or blood stains and the recipient area was already fairly red so i cant see a difference. I'd say atleast 50% of my graphs have shed, the rest are still there sporadically. Did i just completely ruin my hair trainsplant?
Senior Member AllAboutHair Posted June 19, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 19, 2012 I dont think so. It would be the hair that is about to shed have fallen. You gave an early kick to general hair shed after HT. Keep watching the roots patiently. You will definitely get hair from it. Roots are well protected deep inside dont worry,
Senior Member aaron1234 Posted June 19, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 19, 2012 Chill Chilles. One header 5 weeks post-op won't harm your grafts. Just don't make it a habit. Dr. Glenn Charles
There is almost no chance you could have done any damage to the grafts/recipient area 4-5 weeks post-op with a headbutt. Don't worry, be happy. I hope you scored a goal with that headbutt.
