When is it ok to sleep laying flat?

If you still have swelling,

YES!!! Still sleep in a recliner, I know, IT BLOWS!!!

 

Sounds like my adjustable bed will be helpful

for something besides curing my acid reflux!

For frontal cases I tell people to sleep propped up for 3 or 4 days....and they'll swell less but sleep worse. OR they can sleep flat and sleep better but look much worse for the first 4 days.... Really makes no difference after 7 or 8 days. I'd guess that 90% of our patients sleep upright as directed and about 1 a month sleeps flat.
