Senior Member ILikeMyHair Posted April 18, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted April 18, 2012 Hi guys I had my HT 6 weeks ago with Dr. Wong. Up until now I thought that all the grafts that are placed into the recipient sites grow out hair. Today I saw some posts on this site saying that they did not get a good yield. Unfortunately 2-3 of those posts were from Dr. Wong patients. So I am wondering if it's reasonable to expect all the hairs (that were placed in the transplant and were visible at 2 weeks and later shed) to grow back? I dont think I would expect 100% yield but you have chosen a top doc so your chances of being in the high 90s are a lot greater! I'm probably wrong but shedding hairs take time to work their way out of the root don't they(?) So if a graft was placed which sheds shortly after being placed it doent necessarily follow that the graft will survive. (However, as we know, healthy transplanted grafts also shed shortly after being placed.) 4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013 1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018 763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020 Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day
Senior Member Jotronic Posted April 18, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted April 18, 2012 Ilikemyhair, You have nothing to worry about. The grafts that were placed should grow back fine and the one thing to remember, above all else, is that we stand behind our patients so if in fact anything were to come up short we will take care of it but that is not likely to be necessary. The Truth is in The Results Dr. Victor Hasson and Dr. Jerry Wong are members of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians
