Hi all,

I've been using the tricomin copper shampoo/conditioner for a while, and am planning on just switching to a brand that sells at the grocery store (rather than a website). I'm trying to get a list of items that I should look out for when reading the ingrediants on the back of the bottles. So far, the most common item I'm seeing is cetyl alcohol, which I imagine would be bad as alcohol can dry out the hair shaft (and scalp). Also sulfates, as I understand it.

Any other things to look out for (or alternatively, look for?) in shampoos, conditioners, and mousse? Thanks!

I think avoiding daily shampooing with shampoos that have SLS in it would be a good idea.

Once in a while Nioxin would be good. It does make the hair appear thicker.

Revita is nice. I don't think it has SLS but does have ketoconazole.

Shampoo I am trying right now (I do have the conditioner for these too):

Aveda Smooth Infusion Shampoo - sls free and it reduces frizz, has aloe and gaur bean extract in it too. Not a bad shampoo but it is pricy.

Pending:

David Babaii For Wild aid Amplifying Shampoo

Avalon Organics Revitalizing Peppermint Shampoo

For shampoos, switch em up a bit every few days because they don't work as good if your hair gets used to the same one.
