Senior Member dingdong12 Posted February 9, 2012 Senior Member Posted February 9, 2012 i am about 15 days post op. on occassion i gently massage my scalp and i often see hairs amognst the flakes of skin . is this normal , sometimes it looks like a bulb like shape , is this a graft lost or is this normal??
Senior Member Jotronic Posted February 9, 2012 Senior Member Posted February 9, 2012 You should really ask your clinic first as they are familiar with your case but from the sounds of it, you're fine. The hairs that were in the grafts transplanted are supposed to come out and will continue to do so for the next few weeks. Some will come out with flakes of skin or scabs, some will come out with nothing attached. Senior Member dingdong12 Posted February 9, 2012 Author Senior Member Posted February 9, 2012 hi jotronic that sounds just like how they come out , i know they are supposed to come out its just when they do you cant help but question is this normal thanks
Senior Member hairthere Posted February 9, 2012 Senior Member Posted February 9, 2012 Sounds perfectly normal DD. Those grafts took hold 48 hours post-op and were firmly planted at 8-10 days (you'd have to surgically remove them I would think at that point). Sad to see them go, but they'll be back soon!
