hairline possibility

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am new to this forum and would like opinions. I was thinking of getting a hair transplant to improve my receding hairline which i estimate has receded 1/2 inch. Grafts would go into completely bald areas. Is this advisable, can you get decent coverage in completely bald areas? And how many hairs would you need? How much coverage could you make with about 2000 grafts? (I was told this was the maximum FUE) in one session. Thanks for all your help

2K would probably get you good thin coverage but not very dense. Pictures would really help. It really depends on how much hair you are currently holding on to right now.

Dr. Paul Shapiro: 2,348 grafts (FUT) 2009 ~ 1,999 grafts (FUT) 2011 ~ 300 grafts (Scar Reduction) 2013

Dr. Konior: 771 grafts (FUT) 2015 ~ 558 grafts (FUT) 2017 ~ 1,124 grafts (FUE) 2020

This is impossible to answer as we don't know the width of the area. Not only that but patients' own estimations can be way off. Best to schedule a consultation of some sort.

2000 grafts can do a lot for a hairline, though.

In general it is common to transplant into completely bald areas and get decent coverage. I agree with the others though that without pics you can't any any real advice. The best way to get an estimate of how many grafts you need and what the possibilities are is to do at least an online consult with a doc
