Regular Member vanitysucks Posted October 28, 2011 Regular Member Posted October 28, 2011 It's going to cost an extra 300. Is it worth it? Thanks
Senior Member orlhair1 Posted October 28, 2011 Senior Member Posted October 28, 2011 I am not sure why there would be an extra cost for it. I think it is generally provided as part of the procedure. Senior Member Janna Posted October 31, 2011 Senior Member Posted October 31, 2011 Orlhair, The graftcyte kit vanitysucks is referring to is different than what you received. You got the spray bottle only. There is a lot more to the "kit". It comes with concentrated graftcyte spray bottle and 4 packs of pads that contain 3 sheets of graftcyte soaked gauze pads in each pack. One pack of gauze is used to apply to the recipient area for 20 to 30 minutes after surgery. You may end up using 2 to 4 pack the first night. The second day you can apply another pack or start using the spray bottle. It also has a donor scar cream and shampoo and conditioner. The whole graftcyte kit is a bit of an overkill, in my opinion. It's expensive so perhaps not worth the cost when you may end up not using it up. If you're able to get the spray only or just the pads is sufficient unless you end up getting a mega session. Graftcyte solution in itself is great and seems to help the healing process and diminish the redness faster.
