Hair wash ONE DAY post-op

I am getting my 3rd FUT next week and they told me they will do a hair wash one day after surgery. In my other surgeries they never did it this quickly? Is this safe? It sounds crazy to me. He is a recommended doc on this forum though and has good results on his website. I haven't used him before though. I just keep worrying it will wash off all the grafts or at least some of them. Should I just not show up for the washing or should I trust it is ok?

Who is your doctor?

I had a gentle hair wash on day one after surgery and it had no adverse side effects. Just make sure to wait approximately two weeks before you scrub your hairs hard like you would during a normal shampoo session.

It's best to have a wash one day post-op. It's helps prevent against scab formation and the techs can check to see if any of your grafts have slightly popped out. It's totally fine if done in the right hands.

My doc had me come back for a wash the next day. It was a very gentle wash with them just using a spray bottle. I actually went back each day for the next 4 days just so they could take care of it rather than me trying to do it on my own. I have had 2 procedures now; the second one, where I went back to them for several days, had much less scabbing.
