Dr. Bijan Feriduni Posted August 30, 2011 Share Posted August 30, 2011 Follicular Unit Transplantation performed on a 40 year old Caucasian male with: - NW II vertex class N - Donor density of ~ 96-104 FU/cm2 - Hair diameter of ~ 59 microns Treatment plan: A Follicular Unit Transplantation with 1499 FU to restore the crown area. This patient suffered from minor hair loss at the temples but this did not bother him, his main goal was to reconstruct his crown area with good density. Performed procedure (July 13, 2007): A Follicular Unit Extraction with 1499FU in a single day session * 674 single hair FU * 825 double hair FU Extraction performed with a 0,95 mm FUE punch with Versi handle™. Parallel incisions (single and double units) were made in custom-sized blades technique (~Cutting Edge blades of 0,85 mm). Dr. B. We've checked this patient's file for the operation details. Dr. Feriduni transplanted 30-40 FU/cm2 in zone 5 and 60 FU/cm2 in zone 5v.
