Regular Member Mac1 Posted July 28, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted July 28, 2011 How long post-op should you wait for SMP into the scar? I know common answers would indicate a year, but I wonder if anyone has heard from a doctor. I have sent a query into Dr. Rassman but he has yet to respond. Senior Member aaron1234 Posted July 28, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted July 28, 2011 I'd give it at least one year... maybe longer like 18 months. It sort of depends on how you heal. If you do end up getting SMP done we would LOVE to see some pics and get some details about it. Keep us posted. Regular Member Mac1 Posted July 28, 2011 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 28, 2011 Got a reply from Dr. Rassman, informed me that the minimum wait is six months. I am guessing because it is basically a procedure that requires 2-3 touchups anyways, so no real danger in getting first procedure done 6 months post-op. Just my 2 cents.
