How common is it to not shed the new transplants?

Recommended Posts

Most people start to shed the new transplants around 10-14 days post op. My scalp isn't red at all and I never got any pimples. I'm approaching my third week(18 days) and I would say 95% of the 3000 are still there and have even grown. Probably just jinxed myself, but is this common and is this even desirable?

Skyline,

You can still shed some of the transplanted hairs but some guys do report that these hairs continue to grow. I couldn't put a figure on how many.

You may be one of the lucky few!

I've read that this happens on around 10% or less patients.

Finasteride 1.25 mg. daily

Avodart 0.5 mg. daily

Spironolactone 50 mg twice daily

5 mg. oral Minoxidil twice daily

Biotin 1000 mcg daily

Multi Vitamin daily

Damn, with all the stuff you put in your hair are you like a negative NW1? :D

I started losing my hair at 19 in 1999

I started using propecia and minoxidil in 2000
