Regular Member albundy Posted April 17, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted April 17, 2011 1) will Everybody have a shock loss after HT procedure, or some do and some don't? 2) Will all Transplanted hair fall off within the first 3 month or again some people will lose most of it, some people will lose some and some people none at all? 3) If the answer to question 1 and 2 is "YES", approximately how many weeks after surgery would you say majority of the transplanted hair would have fallen off? Some ppl lose some and some ppl lose most of it. Senior Member Thehairupthere Posted April 17, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted April 17, 2011 It totally depends on the situation. If someone is only losing hair in the hairline region then you don't really have to go in between much native hair, but there are people who are thinning throughout the entire top like an early 5A on the Norwood scale, and those types of cases normally experience more shock loss do the amount of native hair you're transplanting around. So yes some do and some don't. All of the transplanted hairs will fall off within the first 3 weeks but some may last a little longer. I am a consultant for Dr. True and Dr. Dorin. These opinions are my own. Dr. Robert True and Dr. Robert Dorin are members of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians
