Regular Member Dr. Vito Quatela Posted March 17, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted March 17, 2011 This 53-year-old male patient came to us seeking a hair transplant. His goal was to lower his hairline and create fullness at the top of his head. The patient underwent two sessions totaling 4,200 grafts of which 1,974 were single hair grafts, 1,806 were two hair grafts and 420 were three hair grafts. During the initial procedure, the team concentrated on the central tuft area using two and three hair grafts and extending the hairline forward using single hair grafts. The second procedure involved creating more density to the central tuft and the hairline. The stick and place method was used to achieve these results using 19 and 20 gauge needles. The patient was very pleased with his results.
