Regular Member markymark Posted May 14, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted May 14, 2009 Hello, I had a transplant done 30 days ago 2000 FUE, pretty much to my crown area. I like to buzz my hair and today I buzzed everything off to see what it would look like. I'm a bit worried because the donor area doesn't look great. It's kind of red and you can see a distinct difference from the hairs that were not touched. Is this premature for me to worry? Are my hair going to blend in well with the others at this short length? 1/16 inch
Guest comb
From what I have seen, FUE donor area normally look completely normal at around 10 days, however give it some more time and perhaps sent a picture to your doctor. Good luck
Senior Member Speegs Posted May 14, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted May 14, 2009 Isn't Armani the man that uses nothing but FUE and encourages everyone to dense pack absurd numbers of graphs? It sounds as if FUE may have damaged your donor area, I've heard of it doing as much, even in the hands of men so well versed at it as Dr.Cole. I'm not a medical mind so i don't want to needlessly alarm you but it sounds like you need to keep an eye on it, you may not be able to wear your hair that short anymore. Senior Member Abedogg Posted May 15, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted May 15, 2009 Markymark, I wouldn't worry too much unless you think that you have an infection. My donor area remained red for about 2 months. I also had some shockloss on the sides. Senior Member Leeson Posted May 15, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted May 15, 2009 Everybody's physiology reacts differently to surgery. I'd give it time, but check with a Doctor to make sure you don't have folliculitis. My Hair Loss Website - Dr. Hasson
