Regular Member Amped Posted February 12, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted February 12, 2011 Hi Everyone, It seems so peculiar after researching and remaining passive the last 8 months I am finally contributing to this forum. Only on Thursday I had my hair transplant with Dr. Feller, roughly 2500 grafts which includes the additional I was not charged for. The experience is no different than what others have described, as in, no short of excellent. Now I am sitting 45 degree angle and so I have been since Thursday and still on medication as some pain still remains particularly present at night making sleeping pretty uncomfortable. I have the post-op instruction however to be sure; on the 3rd night am I allowed to touch the grafts, i.e. shower as I would normally do. Obviously I am not going to have the water full pressure, but I can lather in between the grafts? Thanks for your responses My hair loss website
Senior Member hairthere Posted February 12, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted February 12, 2011 The grafts are fully secured after 8 days I think, so you should still be babying them. I think in the shower you can just pour water over them with a cup and some shampoo mixed in. Dr. Feller provides you with after care instructions that should address this. If you don't have them make certain you call his office ASAP to get them... Regular Member Amped Posted February 12, 2011 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 12, 2011 Thanks Hairthere. Will do.I do have the instructions however they state Day 3 - Day 10 , return to your normal hair washing, hence an inquiry just to be certain! Senior Member ukpaitent Posted February 12, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted February 12, 2011 Hey I had similar concerns. I am now 9 days post op from 4500 grafts strip with Dr Hasson. The best thing to do is follow the instructions that you were given as they were written by the doctor for good reason. Heal well. Senior Member Michael5577 Posted February 13, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted February 13, 2011 The grafts are secure only after 9 days according to scientific literature. If you touch them, etc. before 9 days you risk losing grafts.
Regular Member Amped Posted February 13, 2011 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 13, 2011 Thanks Spex. I sent you an email regarding the same questions since you are Dr. Feller's right hand man and his office is closed over the weekend. Hope that was cool with you. I am planning to begin a photo blog, can I simply ask Dr. Feller for my pre-op pics? My hair loss website
