Regular Member TroyPolamalu79 Posted February 12, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted February 12, 2011 Is oral minoxidil work as good as the liquid kind? I hate putting that crap on daily but pills are ok. Senior Member Sean Posted February 12, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted February 12, 2011 The pill form has side effects right? Doesn't cause a condition called hairy tongue?
Senior Member Marvin Posted February 12, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted February 12, 2011 It causes hair to grow all over your body. I'm surprised that it's actually available orally.
Senior Member MusoInOz Posted February 12, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted February 12, 2011 Please be wary of taking oral minox, it's intended purpose is for heart related issues. Very risky taking this orally for hair loss. Cheers, "The road to success is always under construction" I represent Dr Rahal and the associated clinic as a paid patient advisor. Senior Member RCWest Posted February 12, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted February 12, 2011 I've been taking it for around 7 months and have had regrowth throughout the scalp, mostly in the vertex and crown area. It doesn't take much though. I take 5 mg. twice a day but Dr. Path recommends 2.5 mg. twice a day. It's not a large enough dose to really have any noticeable side effects. And it's SO much nicer than dealing with the topical stuff. Finasteride 1.25 mg. daily Avodart 0.5 mg. daily Spironolactone 50 mg twice daily 5 mg. oral Minoxidil twice daily Biotin 1000 mcg daily Multi Vitamin daily Damn, with all the stuff you put in your hair are you like a negative NW1?
