Senior Member Dr. Sheldon Kabaker Posted November 30, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted November 30, 2010 This 26 year old professional entertainer had an excellent result with an FUE transplant that gave him a stable, mature hairline. For professional purposes, he wished the hairline to be lowered to create a certain youthful image. He had an extremely flexible scalp. With a one stage, hairline lowering operation, we were able to bring his hairline down an average of 2.8cm, maintaining the natural irregularities of his FUE grafts. By moving the scalp forward in this manner, we were able to move the equivilent of 3000 follicular unit grafts in a one and one half hour procedure, which allowed him to resume activities the next day. This operation is usually done for women with high hairlines, but I will perform it on older men with stable hairlines or those who have been transplanted and have adequate scalp laxity. Senior Member Sparky Posted November 30, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted November 30, 2010 No doubt there will be visible scarring, maybe fue 200-300 onto it to hide it. Senior Member Sean Posted December 4, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted December 4, 2010 I like how the hairline shifted forward, but does this procedure have any unwanted side effects? Would it recede again in the future or stay put? what about scarring? what are the risks? pretty interesting
