Dr Cam Simmons – 2681 grafts for a Norwood 3-3A man

This 42 year-old man wanted to restore his receding hairline so he would look younger and feel more confident.

He had a Norwood 3-3A thinning pattern and his natural hair was dense. He had finer than average, brown, salt-and-pepper hair, which he dyed brown.

We transplanted 2681 FUG’s to his frontal area with an irregular hairline and a soft transition between the transplanted hairs and his existing hair. Dr. Simmons performed a routine trichophytic closure and his resulting scar is narrow. He began using Propecia a few months after his hair transplant surgery to preserve his existing hair.

He is happy with how his hair looks and can wear his hair in different styles with confidence.

This is very VERY nice! Great results.

Finasteride 1.25 mg. daily

Avodart 0.5 mg. daily

Spironolactone 50 mg twice daily

5 mg. oral Minoxidil twice daily

Biotin 1000 mcg daily

Multi Vitamin daily

Damn, with all the stuff you put in your hair are you like a negative NW1? :D

Great results Dr. Simmons! One small request though, I love seeing how the procedure was tackled in regard to the number of hairs placed in each graft... Could you possibly enlighten us with how many single, double, triple, and quadruple hair grafts were used?

Thanks Robin

We count the total number of grafts but we don't keep separate counts for the whole case. We do keep separate counts for sample areas so we can know the approximate distribution of grafts. This man had about 22% 1s, 55% 2s, 21% 3s, and 2% 4s.

Here are updated photos from 13 months after this man's hair transplant. His hair is combed left to right and back to reveal his transplanted hairline. He has natural hair below the transplanted hairline in his existing widow's peak.

He is happy with his transformation and continues to use Finasteride to preserve his native hair.

Happy New Year to all!
