Regular Member hairlossisbad Posted September 10, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted September 10, 2010 (edited) Hi All, I am 26 year old male. I have uploaded my photos in my profile. Please review them and let me know if I am a good candidate for HT. My major concern is that I am loosing hair near temples. That is worrying me a lot. I am planning to have my HT done by Dr.Madhu or Dr.Path. How many Grafts I may require? Are there any medication we have to fallow before getting HT? Please post your comments. Senior Member Spanker Posted September 10, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted September 10, 2010 (edited) My personal opinion is that you are a little too young and I would not think that you would get your hair line lowered enough to make it worth it.....but that is just my opinion.... I would start finasteride if you are not using it....and maybe Rogaine if you like.... If you were a little older and your hairloss pattern were established I would say go for it. I have a hairline about like yours and I am sticking to drugs for now. I an 31. Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted September 11, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted September 11, 2010 hairlossisbad, I have to agree with Spanker. IMO, you've got quite a lot of hair and are still very young. It would be wise to stabilize your hair loss with Propecia (finasteride) and Rogaine (minoxidil) and hold on for a few years before proceeding with hair transplant surgery. Regular Member coriander Posted September 11, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted September 11, 2010 Yes, that's still pretty minimal. a lot of guys here would be ecstatic to have that kind of hairline. I'd do Finasteride now if you're concerned, and save the HT in case you really need it.
