Senior Member Christine Posted September 9, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted September 9, 2010 (edited) These before and after photos are of a patient who came to AHR for help with his previous transplant which left him unhappy and seeking better results. Dr. Arocha performed a 2544 FUT corrective procedure. Result photos are taken 1 year post transplant. Edited September 13, 2010 by Christine Employed by Dr. Bernard Arocha. Senior Member hairthere Posted September 9, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted September 9, 2010 That seems like a large number of grafts for just the hairline. Did Dr. Arocha work into the previous, pluggy HT work? Also, a shot of the hairline pulled back would have been more helpful in seeing the transformation. Senior Member Christine Posted September 13, 2010 Author Senior Member Share Posted September 13, 2010 hairthere, Thanks for taking the time to post! You are correct, Dr. Arocha gave the patient two options for the correction of his pluggy transplant. The first option, was to excise the pluggy hair line and to transplant in front of it. The second option was to correct the pluggy transplant by doing a FUT procedure to redirect the hair at appropriate angles, softening with irregular feathering of the new hair line. The patient was adamant about avoiding the excision of the hair line. He needed a large enough session to overcome the pluggy cornrows, as you can see from this additional photo. Here's the shot you requested: Employed by Dr. Bernard Arocha. Senior Member hairthere Posted September 13, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted September 13, 2010 Ok, that photo reveals much more about the planning of his HT. I'm sure this patient is very happy to have a nice, natural hairline instead of those corn rows. Senior Member RCWest Posted September 17, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted September 17, 2010 Wow Christine, that is the worst plug job I've ever seen. And when they stuffed those large grafts into the incisions they compressed even more giving a true dolls hair effect. Glad to see Dr. Arocha was able to help him out!
